Prakerin di Samsung Service Center
MY EXPERIENCE IN SAMSUNG SERVICE CENTER
I
work for the company P.T. Samsung Indonesia. Samsung itself is a company
engaged in electronics. HP, TV, washing machine, refrigerator, vacuum air
dresser, AC, and other products are available from PT Samsung. PT Samsung
itself has several subsidiary companies, such as PT Samsung Service Center,
Graha Service Indonesia, and Mitra Hub Indonesia. I was placed at the Samsung
Service Center.
On my first day of internship,
I introduced myself to the employees of the Samsung Service Center. I was
warmly welcomed by the employees of the Samsung Service Center. I studied the
structure of office members, and I had to read and comply with applicable
company regulations. Following my self-introduction, I was assigned to
house-to-house service. I got the air conditioner section for myself.
On the second day and so on, I
have done in-home service with the technician; my job is only to look at it and
I have not been authorized to repair it. There are many things that must be
learned when repairing an AC,
such as checking Freon pressure, checking ac units, etc. The following week, I
was given the authority to assist the technician in selecting work tools such
as amperage pliers, manivliners, and multimeters, as well as Freon based on the
ac type, such as R22, R32, and R410. If
the technician says I need Freon, I must take it in accordance with the type of
ac, because failure to do so will have fatal consequences for the ac
unit.
In the second month, I started
to get used to my position and memorized where to store work tools so that it
was easier to retrieve what I needed. I made a mistake. When I wanted to check
the AC current, I forgot to change the DC multimeter needle indicator to AC,
resulting in the fuse on the multimeter breaking and the multimeter not being
able to be used again as it should. From this incident I was given guidance by
my technician about how to operate a multimeter. And since that incident I have
been more focused and careful in operating various work tools.
In the third month, there is
an AC-DVM report. The report was reported by BPOM Semarang. That same day, my technician
and I checked directly at the BPOM office. After checking, it turned out that
the unit suffered a lot of damage, including the ac module and compressor pipe
sensor. When dismantling the unit, it experienced several problems, such as the
ac vacuum was not strong, the bolts were rusty, so we needed additional help
from people to remove the bolts, and suddenly the weather was cloudy. It takes
approximately one month to complete the unit. When I rechecked, I made a very
fatal mistake. When the vacuum was finished, I was told by my technician to
install a 3-phase cable, and when I installed the cable, I accidentally turned
it upside down when installing the phase cable with a neutral cable. If a
3-phase cable is installed incorrectly, it will cause a short circuit and
explode. At that time, I was also given guidance about high-voltage
electricity. At that time, I was very careful with high-voltage electricity and
always understood and implemented the applicable SOPs.
In the fourth and sixth months, I did a unit check at a
3-star hotel in Semarang. When I checked the unit at that time, it was still
fasting for Ramadan. It takes extra enthusiasm because the checks are carried
out on top of the building in the heat during fasting. At that time, my friends
and I almost broke our fast because our energy was drained while checking the
ac unit, but on the other hand, the technicians encouraged us and didn't give
up, so my friends and I discouraged us from breaking our fast. There is a
little funny story when checking the a/c unit: Dias fell asleep and
accidentally slipped while on the balcony, and suddenly Diaz's drowsiness
disappeared. The technicians laughed, and Diaz was given guidance not to get
sleepy while working. Towards the afternoon, the checks and repairs were
completed, and my friends and I returned to the office and continued breaking
fast with friends and other employees.
Maybe that's all my experience at the internship place. I learned a lot about discipline, responsibility, teamwork, joys, and sorrows while undergoing the internship; that's all from me, and if there are any words that are not pleasing, I apologize.
